Solid Waste services is
responsible for the collection and disposal of solid waste
within the City of
Atlanta.
The
bureau provides or oversees vacant lot clean-up, maintenance
of various right-of-ways specified in the Atlanta City Code,
dead animal removal and disposal, landfill operations, the
City’s recycling program, enforcement of codes related to
lawn maintenance, and the disposal of yard trimmings. |

The Quality of Life Bond Program was approved by the voters
of Atlanta in order to provide for community improvements
throughout the City including sidewalks, plazas/green space,
streets, bridges, viaducts, and traffic control devices. |
