Solid Waste services is responsible for the collection and disposal of solid waste within the City of AtlantaThe bureau provides or oversees vacant lot clean-up, maintenance of various right-of-ways specified in the Atlanta City Code, dead animal removal and disposal, landfill operations, the City’s recycling program, enforcement of codes related to lawn maintenance, and the disposal of yard trimmings.

The Office of Transportation is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the City's street network.  This office includes street operations, street maintenance, parking meters, and the Quality of Life Bond Program.

The Quality of Life Bond Program was approved by the voters of Atlanta in order to provide for community improvements throughout the City including sidewalks, plazas/green space, streets, bridges, viaducts, and traffic control devices.
